Members of the SGEU are still walking the pickets lines as they try to get the provincial government to increase funding to Citizens All, so they can get a wage increase.

This is day #8 of the strike at Citizens All in Moose Jaw.

44 local people, employees of Citizens All and members of the SGEU, walked off the job last Wednesday.

These people provide residential and support services to people with mental and physical disabilities here in our city. They're calling on the provincial government for increased funding to make room for a wage increase.

Larry McCrea is the spokesperson for the local SGEU Bargaining Unit. "Well, we haven't had any feedback yet from any of the other side so we're just waiting patiently to see who is going to make a move first and where we go from here."

McCrea says local MLA's Glenn Hagel and Deb Higgins have been invited to sit down and talk but they have yet to set up a meeting.
