The Ice were able to hang with the Colts early on, but the veteran team eventually pulled away from the young squad on Tuesday night at Caribou Heights.

The Colts scored four in the fifth and four more in the seventh to finish off a 9-0 win over the Ice in the Moose Jaw Senior Ladies Fastball League.

Keri Legare opened the scoring for the Colts with an RBI-single in the third.

Ceanna Bruce had an RBI-single in the fifth, which was followed right after by a two-run single from Jade Waiting.

Waiting picked up another RBI-single in the seventh, while Darby Fiddler also drove in a run during the four-run frame.

Fiddler threw a complete game shutout on the mound for the Colts, allowing six hits, striking out two and walking one.

Jess Chadwick started for the Minors in the loss.

The Colts will be back on the field on Wednesday night to battle the Hustlers. First pitch is at 6:30 p.m.

There was a doubleheader in the Rambler Park Fastball League over at Memorial Field on Tuesday night.

The Giants opened the night by picking up a 4-3 win over the Standing Buffalo Dakotas.

The second batter of the game for the Dakotas, Randall Sparvier, hit a two-run home run to get things started quickly.

The Giants answered with an RBI-double from Curtis Brown in the bottom of the first as they trailed 2-1 after one.

Moose Jaw tied the game with a run-scoring single from Tyler Kieferling in the second inning, but Standing Buffalo moved back in front with one run in the fourth.

Back-to-back triples from Jason Schneider and Brown in the fourth inning led to two more runs for the Giants and they held on the rest of the way for the win.

Tim McCaig threw the complete game in the victory, he struck out over seven innings, while giving up three runs on six hits.

The second game of the doubleheader saw the Canadians host the Regina Hawks. No score was reported.
