The City of Moose Jaw presented a cheque to Ray Rawlyk on Tuesday, in the amount of $2,360.78, that will go towards his final total for his April 10, Ukraine Rally Fundraiser at Crescent Park.
The City accepted all startup donations and made required payments so that he could focus on the logistics of organizing the very successful fundraising event. The amount presented on Tuesday was the profit after expenses were paid to the city.
At Rawlyk’s Ukraine fundraiser on April 10, he raised $10,700. That combined with the city’s $5,390.00 raised at their Ukraine fundraising dinner held on March 31 at Mosaic Place, over $18,500.00 has been generated from Moose Jaw and area residents for the Canadian Red Cross – Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal.
