With Christmas break around the corner and February break looming in the background more families are considering what to do with the time off from school. Vaccinations for children and some flexibility at the border has lent to more families looking at booking vacations again.

Schannon Schill, CAA Trusted Travel Professional says “People are itching to go places this year, feeling a little bit safer about doing it but still wanting to make sure that they are taking precautions necessary to make it as safe as possible”

If you’re considering a trip, now is the time to start planning. Schill continues, “A lot of families were really waiting for that Covid vaccination to be available for the kids, so that they can ensure that their kids were as safe as possible as well. I think we are going to see an uptick in travel during that February break. “

With International flights coming back to Saskatchewan airports, Schill share some tips before you book, “Just always make sure that you are doing some research on the destination that you are going to, see if there are any Covid regulations in place where you’re going. Even if it’s just within in Canada, see what those provinces have as far as restrictions at restaurants and hotels. Making sure that you’re following rules as far as isolation or quarantine; all of that needs to be taken into consideration when you’re making your plans.”
