The Moose Jaw High School Junior Badminton League crowned its champions on Wednesday night at Peacock Collegiate.

Central's Harry Lin captured the boys singles title, edging out Cornerstone's Cole Breitkreuz in second place and Zidan Closs from Vanier in third place.

Peacock's Summer Okerstrom came out on top in girls singles. Vanier's Mykayla Fysh was second and Central's Mariam Al-Mohammad placed third.

In Mixed Doubles, Peacock's Sidney Ellingson and Cole Wiebe walked away with the title. Central's Vera Gauvin and Brennan Watterson came in second and Cornerstone's Nena Katsumata and Byaombe Alfani captured bronze.

Central's duo of Ellie Gauvin and Ember DuSomme won the girls doubles title. Nikita Halyk and Ashley Hennefent from Vanier were second and Cornerstone's Sarah Buhler and Malayna Gramlich finished third.

The boys doubles title went to Central's JR Estrada and Jaylon Salido-Porter, who beat out teammates Payton Longworth and Kaelin Krukoff. Peacock's Bryden Sims and Rhett Chute finished third.

The South Central District Championship will be held in Caronport this weekend.
