Tourism Moose Jaw Made the difficult decision earlier this week to cancel this year's edition of Sidewalk Days, but while we’re still over 2 months out, what about Canada Day festivities?

Executive Director of Tourism Moose Jaw, Jackie L’Heureux Mason.

“We’re really hoping that as long as we can keep people in their cars, or if rules have relaxed a little bit, that we could at least host fireworks. Thanks to the Moose Jaw Kinsmen Club we’ve been able to secure them, so we’re hoping to do the fireworks regardless. We think it would be a magical night for Moose Jaw.”

“We had about 3,500 people last year at the event, but safety is just our number one priority right now. If they allow groups to gather, we would very easily be able to move it to another day. We’re still tossing around ideas as to what to call it, but its definitely going to be a giant community party at that time.”

Last year, Tourism Moose Jaw hosted an event in Crescent Park for Canada Day which featured a large number of vendors, performers, a plethora of food, and of course fireworks at Hamilton Flats.
