Alan Doyle's Rough Side Out Tour is kicking off bringing his iconic sound to 21 different cities across Canada, beginning right here in the friendly city at the Mae Wilson Theatre on Wednesday, February 19th.

Doyle wants everyone to know that a dollar from every ticket to the show goes directly to the hands of proven Mental health and Addiction programs across the country, it will also help with the opioid crisis in Vancouver and homelessness in St. Johns and a whole lot more in between.

He also recently teamed up with country star Dean Brody for a new single called "We Don’t Want To Go Home", which was his first song released from his upcoming EP, Rough Side Out, which is set for a Valentine’s Day, release.

Doyle says his upcoming Moose Jaw show should feature a little something for everyone.

"The whole show is wrapped around the Rough Side Out EP and features a bunch of the newer songs, but we'll also be doing a bunch of the old traditional songs I knew from when I was a kid from Newfoundland of course, and a bunch of the Great Big Sea favorites. All the songs to make the greatest kitchen party in the history of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan!"

Joining him on this tour as well will be special guest Kelly Prescott.

"I've known Kelly and her family for a long time and I've always been a massive fan of her voice, her songs, energy, and presence. I'm so grateful that she said yes and we all get the chance to hang out together for a few months on the road."

Doyle says Prescott is just one part of a great lineup for the show.

"The beautiful band that tours with me are a collection of friends and people I've been a fan of my whole life. The band is put together to play all different kinds of music, from rock, to country, to traditional and the Celtic and all that stuff. It features people like Cory Tetford who has been a friend of mine since we were teenagers, he remains one of the greatest guitar players/singers I've ever heard of. People will know him from a band called Crush that was kicking around Newfoundland for a while. Kendel Carson is the greatest instrumentalist I've ever played with in my life, she plays fiddle and singes with us. It's just a real pleasure to get to stand amongst those people and sing, it's a real treat."

There are still a few tickets available to the February 19 show, which can be found here.
