If you haven't been to Canadian Western Agribition yet, you are running out of chances.

The week-long farm show wraps up on Saturday, and so far, there has been a lot of excitement on the grounds and in the livestock sector in general.

"Some of the cattle prices look like they are up around 20% year over year," said Agribition CEO Marty Seymour. "It's a complex business so it's a refection of many things, but it's a real signal that the livestock industry is healthy and strong. Some of the bison sale numbers are double what they were last year, so that looks really do, and for sheep, they are excited about the opportunities in their industry, too."

He adds attendance has also been very high in terms of their new shuttle service, which has exceeded their expectations. The shuttle, designed to alleviate parking issues at EVRAZ Place, departs from the Northgate and Southland Malls on Albert Street and gives users a free ride to the grounds and free admission.

"Our biggest speed bump this year, pun intended, is to try to move volumes of people that we haven't accounted for," Seymour added. "We've put more buses toward the service to try and help people move to and from the properties as easily as we can. It's a free service, so we're doing all we can to make it work, and we ask people to be patient."

For the final day on Saturday, the premiere event on the schedule will be the RBC Beef Supreme Challenge, which brings together 16 Grand Champions of all breeds from livestock fairs across North America.

"RBC Beef Supreme is the signature event, I believe, in North America," Seymour said. "I think it's unique to Agribition, it makes us the best show, and these guys can feel the pressure and pent-up demand to see who that champion is going to be on Saturday afternoon."

Other events on the final day include full-contact jousting, a new event for Agribition, and the final performance of the CCA Finals Rodeo at the Brandt Centre.
