A train derailed while crossing Highway 20 near Craven on Tuesday night.

In a Facebook post, the Village of Craven asked residents to avoid the area to allow emergency crews to work and use alternate routes of Highway 99 and Highway 6. It also said there were no known injuries due to the incident as of 10 pm.

Highway 20, north of Regina is experiencing delays, vehicles can now pass through but traffic will be heavy, and detours are still recommended. There is no timeline as to when the road will be fully cleared. We have confirmed it is a Canadian Pacific Rail train and there are no injuries reported. The train was carrying potash and there is no danger to the public.
