In Saskatchewan, some weekends can see the potential for thunderstorms, while other weekends could see blizzard conditions pop up.

This weekend, people in this area might just be able to see both. The weather for the next couple of days is going to be a mixed bag of what Saskatchewan can toss at residents a weekend.

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a special weather statement for the weekend. Showers and possible thunderstorms are entering Saskatchewan in a disturbance coming from Alberta Saturday morning. That will changing over to late snow late Saturday afternoon into the evening. About 10-15 cm of snow will fall in the Kindersley, Outlook and Leader areas.

That snow will then move into the southeast, with 10-15 cm falling south of the Trans Canada Highway Sunday. The forecast says some of the higher terrain areas may see up to 30 cm of the white stuff.

With heavy wet snow and high winds in the area, blizzard conditions are a possibility

Snow and strong winds are expected to leave the area Sunday night.
