The Cancer Care Raffle put on by the Moose Jaw Health Foundation is returning for its second year and tickets area now on sale.

"It's back for its second year with even more chances to win," said Kelly McElree, Executive Director of the MJHF. "It's an opportunity to win great cash prizes and enhance cancer care at our hospital with proceeds from raffle will be used to buy a new, state of the art ultrasound which is used in the early detection of cancer."

Barrie Vice is the spokesperson for the raffle this year is a cancer survivor, having battled Stage Four Hodgkin's Lymphoma in 2010. He says having this equipment in Moose Jaw is huge for local patients because they won't have to travel to Regina.

"The diagnostic equipment that we're talking about buying with this raffle is oh so important because finding what kind of cancer that you have, finding where it is, diagnosing these type of things as early as you can and accurately as you possibly can, plays a huge role in how they decide to treat the disease that you're facing."

Vice added that our community and province is great for rallying behind those who need treatment, and hopefully those people can help with the raffle. You can find more info and buy tickets either the foundation officer or by clicking here.
