Their premier performance for the summer season was just two weeks ago and the cast of Sask Express 2019 has hit the ground running.

Made up of 11 youth and young adults from across Saskatchewan, these talented individuals are gearing up to entertain the crowd at one of Moose Jaw's beloved events this weekend.

"We have a lot of different places book for us; obviously we're here in Moose Jaw July 5th at 6:30 pm if you want to come down to Sidewalk Days and see us," performer Bryce Johnson detailed, noting they'll be all over the prairies throughout the next few months. "We have a show in Buffalo Pound - also we're heading to a bunch of different provincial parks. You can find all the information at SaskExpress.com, you go to tour dates and you'll find it all there."

This summer's show is called Reel Music: A Timeless Series, which according to Johnson is a montage of hits from movies old and new.

"Get ready to listen to music from some iconic music from everyone's favourite movies. We have as old as Singing in the Rain, stuff from the Lion King - we have Circle of Life and we have as recent as La La Land and the Greatest Showman. There's a lot of fun numbers for me in the show. I get a solo in this one so you'll hear me sing Singing in the Rain. One of my favourite numbers to perform is Another Day of Sun from La La Land," Johnson added.

He noted that a show with this much variety has been time consuming to learn, and they've been spending several months getting it ready for people to enjoy.

"We began rehearsals in April for the singers, but I was cast as a dancer in the show, so while they began in April I joined them sometime in May. It's been practicing on weekends, we've been hard at work at that, we've had a couple of performances already and everyone's excited to go."
