A new proclamation has been released in Moose Jaw from Acting Mayor Dawn Luhning.

The week of September 20th to the 26th is now known as 'Bullying Elimination Week'. In the proclamation, Luhning states that bullying is a frequent issue in youth across the world and can lead to the death of a victim in extreme cases. She says there needs to be a world-wide understanding that positive change must happen for the sake of the victims and those who want to see bullying eradicated.

Luhning is encouraging people to express themselves fully this week and she says in the document, "Bullying Elimination Week is where all citizens of the world wear their colors of choice with pride in order to prove to bullying victims that they are not alone in the world, and they can wear what they proudly choose to wear without being afraid of what other citizens will think or say about them".
