A community west of Moose Jaw will be pleased to hear that their internet service will soon improve.

SaskTel announced Wednesday that they will be making upgrades to services by installing a small cell site in Mortlach, which is located roughly 45 kilometers west of Moose Jaw.

“I look forward to seeing the benefits the new tower in Mortlach will bring to the community,” Lyle Stewart, MLA Lumsden-Morse said in a statement released by SaskTel. “Our government remains committed to providing safe and secure communication services to residents in Saskatchewan.”

“SaskTel continues to invest in its networks, so our customers get the service they expect and need.” Doug Burnett, SaskTel President and CEO said.  “With Saskatchewan’s largest LTE network, SaskTel customers can surf, stream, and download the content they want faster than ever before and from almost anywhere in the province.”

This work is part of the provincial government and SaskTel's phase two plan of enhancing internet and cellular service to rural communities throughout Saskatchewan.
