A few more details are being released as City Council prepares for their regular meeting next week.

Minutes from a July 9th executive committee meeting reveal that part of the investigation at the Downtown Facility and Field House(DFFH) that we told you about earlier this week... has to do with allegations against three members of city council.

You may recall the story mentioned that Councillors Brian Swanson, Scott McMann and Crystal Froese were excused from the meeting in July that was closed to the public and absent from the meeting Wednesday night. Meeting minutes reveal they declared a conflict of interest because the meeting was about allegations that have been brought against them. Only Councillors Dawn Luhning, Chris Warren and Mayor Fraser Tolmie were present along with members of the administration and a lawyer.

City Hall has declined to comment on what the investigation is about or what prompted the move. Mayor Fraser Tolmie has simply said that the investigating is regarding a staff issue and declined to go into any further detail.

A meeting of the DFFH board, scheduled for Thursday afternoon was cancelled with no explanation or advanced notice.

City Council must ratify the executive committee motion for the investigation, that's expected to be discussed on Monday.
