With the Moose Jaw Warriors facing off against the Saskatoon Blades Friday, in their third annual Suits Up game in support of organ donation.

The Warriors will be wearing special jersey's with an insignia just inside the neckline saying "The Boulet Effect" in honour of Logan Boulet who passed away in the Humboldt Broncos bus crash.

Boulets organs saved six people in the following days after the accident.

And with that in mind, a local man, Tim Burdzy, recently had a kidney transplant in December after waiting 8 years.

Burdzy explained how he found out his kidneys were failing.

"I didn't even know I was sick, I went to work the one day just feeling like I had cold and flu symptoms. I got to work and the boss was like 'you don't look very well, you better go to emerge'. So I ended up going to emergency and they did tests. The next day they called me saying 'you need to get to the hospital' and once I was there they told me my kidneys were failing. It was pretty emotional at that time because we really didn't know what was happening."

Burdzy explained how he got his transplant.

"I was actually in bed, and the call came, and I wasn't going to answer the phone because I didn't recognize the number. I did end up answering the phone and they were like 'we need you up here in Saskatoon, we have a kidney for you'. It was pretty exciting that's for sure."

Burdzy finally got his kidney transplant on the 19th of December and is now on the recovery path. Both Tim Burdzy and his wife Sherri Wilson will attend the game to show their support.
