A Saskatchewan-based doctor who formerly practised in Regina faces many professional misconduct charges.

Dr. Jordan Velestuck is accused of six charges of professional misconduct by the College of Physicians and Surgeons from incidents between 2013 and 2017.

He is charged with having a sexual relationship with a patient, marrying that patient and continuing to treat that person. That contravenes professional ethics about having sexual relationships with patients and treating family.

He is also charged with prescribing drugs to a patient who admitted selling the drugs, and of impersonating another doctor through email when asked by the medical services branch asked about inconsistencies with billing.

He was charged with billing for a service he didn’t perform, administering an injection without medically noting what it was or where it was given, and failing to provide proper urine samples when accused of stealing Ketamine from the Pasqua Hospital for personal use.

He now practises out of Moosomin. These are not criminal charges and none of the allegations have been proven in court.
