The City of Moose Jaw announced dates for the annual shutdown of ice plants within city facilities.

The ice at Mosaic Place will be removed effective March 1, while the Kinsmen Sportsplex area will remain open until March 31.

"We will continue to accommodate rentals and offer public skating at the Kinsmen Sportsplex under the current Public Health guidelines until March 31," said Derek Blais, Director of Parks and Recreation in a press release. "We thank all user groups and residents for their patience and understanding as we dealt with the operational challenges presented by COVID-19. We thank Mosaic Place for working together to match the hours of service to the needs of our user groups."

"We appreciate their help, support, and understanding during COVID-19. The Team at Mosaic Place was thrilled to see the happy faces of the skaters throughout the season and we look forward to next season."
