Don McDonald played golf for 22 years without a hole-in-one, but the local golfer has now pulled off the feat twice in a week.

McDonald drained his first ace on Sept. 28 and then did it again this past Thursday at the Lynbrook Golf Club.

After joining up with the pairing of Cam Forer and Lawrence Verhelst on the sixth hole, McDonald teed off first on the seventh hole and drained a seven-wood from 130 yards out for the hole-in-one on the par-3 hole.

This was the 12th ace of the golf season at the Lynbrook, which had a stretch of six hole-in-ones over the course of 14 days earlier this summer.
