The Central Cyclones senior girls basketball team had a stellar weekend down in Coronach as they captured the tournament title.
The Cyclones cruised to a 61-37 win over Herbert in the final to finish off the weekend.
In their opening game of the tournament, Central cruised past the host Coronach squad, winning 71-41.
The Cyclones are off to a strong start in the Moose Jaw High School Senior Girls Basketball League, posting a 2-1 record in their first three games.
Central returns to the court coming up on Tuesday night when they travel to Assiniboia to face the Rockets at 7 p.m. The boys game goes at 5:20 p.m. In other action on Tuesday, Peacock hosts Caronport at 6:20 and 8 p.m.
The Riverview/Cornerstone Royals varsity boys basketball team hosted three teams for a tournament on Friday and Saturday at Riverview.
The host team came out on top in the end, knocking off Herbert, 58-46, in the final game on Saturday.
In other action at the tournament, the Royals won 79-76 over Watrous on Saturday and fell 66-53 to the Peacock Orange Toilers. Peacock lost their opening game on Friday, 71-49 to Herbert.
Herbert won 62-59 over Watrous.
The Royals are sitting at 1-2 in league play this season. They return to the court on Thursday in Assiniboia.
