A Swift Current man has been charged with second-degree murder in the death of Matthew Neufeld on Aug. 8. Christopher Sean Foster, 54, was arrested on Oct. 15 after an investigation determined he was involved in Neufeld’s death. Swift Current Municipal RCMP responded to a report of an injured man at a residence on 1st Avenue Northwest at 1:10 a.m. on Aug. 8. Officers found Neufeld at the scene and had him transported to hospital, where the 29-year-old was declared dead. The death was deemed suspicious, and the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation. Foster is scheduled to make his first court appearance in Regina Provincial Court on Oct. 17.
