Moose Jaw's Marie Wright and Team Canada captured three wins in less than 24 hours at the 2019 World Wheelchair Curling Championship in Scotland.

After a slow start that saw Team Canada sitting at 1-4 heading into action on Wednesday, Canada found its groove, beating Slovakia, Russia and Germany in three straight draws.

Canada opened their day with an 8-7 win over Slovakia, which saw the Canadians steal two in the eighth end to secure the victory.

That win got the momentum rolling and they kept it going into a 6-3 win over Russia. Canada opened with a deuce and then went in front 6-2 with another two in the sixth.

Returning to the ice for the morning draw on Thursday, Canada stayed hot with a 7-2 win over Germany. The Canadians used a deuce in the second and a three-ender in the fourth to take the win.

The three wins have Canada back into the playoff hunt at 4-4 heading into their meeting with the United States on Thursday at 8 a.m.

Canada will finish the round robin with games against Estonia and Scotland on Friday.
