The Moose Jaw Atom A Red Warriors couldn't find the win column during their first league game in 27 days on Saturday.

The Red Warriors dropped a 9-4 game to the Regina Shamrocks at the Bert Hunt Arena in Hockey Regina action.

Carter Hudyma had a hat trick and four points in the loss for Moose Jaw, while Austin Smith scored the other goal and Benjamin Barth took the loss in goal.

The loss drops Moose Jaw's record to 6-3-1 this season.

The Red Warriors are off now until Jan. 11 when they host the Regina Blues at the Red Knight Arena.

In other Atom A action from the weekend, the Moose Jaw Warriors skated to a 7-4 win over the Cougars on Sunday at the Bert Hunt Arena. The Warriors are now 4-5-0 this season.

Moose Jaw is back in action this Friday when they host the Regina Shamrocks at the Red Knight Arena. Puck drops at 6 p.m.

Midget A: Warriors Drop Weekend Pair

The Moose Jaw Midget A Warriors returned from the Christmas break and dropped a pair of games in the Queen City over the weekend.

The Warriors lost 9-1 to the Regina Blues on Saturday and then they dropped a 7-2 game to the Regina Cougars on Sunday.

Brady Rhinas scored the lone goal for Moose Jaw in Saturday's loss, while Matthew Godlien and Brodi Noble found the back of the net on Sunday.

The Warriors are still searching for their first win this season with a 0-17-0 record in the Hockey Regina League.

Moose Jaw is back in action on Thursday when they face the Regina Mustangs at the Co-Operators Centre.
