V-A-C-A-T-I-O-N....in the summer sun!  That's the first line of the song I sing to myself on the day I go on vacation.  Every time.  That song is older than me.  I love it.

Today's the best day.  It's the day I leave work alone for 2 weeks.  17 days in all.  It'll be the longest stretch of time off I get this year.  For me, the anticipation is the best part of it all.

There are a number of great "vacation" tunes on 800 CHAB.  I think of "Holiday" from Madonna, the Go Go's version of "Vacation"  and "Holiday Road" by LIndsey Buckingham.

However, there's one line in one song that I've had in my head since I was a little boy.  It struck me the first time I heard it and has been with me ever since.  It's part of a 16 minute medley on side two of The Beatles' 1970 record, Abbey Road.

It's from the song, "You Never Give Me Your Money".  The line is, "Oh, that magic feeling...nowhere to go."

I'll talk to you in a couple o' weeks.
