“All circuits are busy. Please hang up and try your call again later.”

This was the message many across Saskatchewan were hearing Monday morning and early afternoon when trying to make a long distance phone call or a call a toll-free phone number.

Thankfully, for emergency calls, the 911 system was still operational throughout the disruption. The Moose Jaw Police Service reported that they were not experiencing any issues with incoming local calls at this time to their main office.

Saskatchewan RCMP had advised their main line in the province wasn't operating, but should be back in service now. If you still can't get through, they ask if you need police assistance for a non-emergency situation to call your local detachment. Other agencies such as Saskatchewan Polytechnic and CAA Saskatchewan were asking residents who are trying to reach them to go online for the time being.

The cause of the outage is not known at this time, however officials say that the issues has been resolved and all services are fully restored.

We will continue to bring you up to date as more information becomes available.
