After a morning and afternoon session in courtroom 2 at the Provincial Court House in Moose Jaw, the suspect of a deadly stabbing now awaits his trial date.

Back on March 13th around 1:20 am the Moose Jaw Police Service were called to the 1200 block of 3rd Avenue North East for a report of an injured male. The victim was transported to hospital, but was later pronounced deceased and was identified as 21-year-old Bailey Anderson. Shortly after the incident the police issued a Canada-wide search warrant for Munroe in connection to the incident; he was found by the Regina Police Service and taken into custody without incident. Munroe was charged with 2nd Degree Murder.

On Tuesday morning at 9:30 am the preliminary hearing began for Tyrel Munroe, for a Judge to decide if there was enough evidence to move the case forward.

There was a short recess for lunch in the middle of the day. Throughout the day the Crown called three witnesses to the stand.

By the end of the day of Tuesday the Judge ordered Munroe to stand trial in front of a Judge and Jury at the next scheduled sittings of the Court of Queen's Bench.

A process within the courts will need to take place before a definitive trial date for Munroe is set.
