One man has been arrested and another is at large following a home invasion on Wednesday night that has left a man in hospital. 

At around 8 p.m., officers responded to a call at a residence on the 1200 block of Irvin Avenue. Officers found a 28-year-old man injured at the scene. 

An investigation found that two men broke into the residence armed with a shotgun and a knife. 

The victim suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the head and was stabbed multiple times. 

Joshua Bradly Adams, 28, was arrested and has been charged with breaking and entering, attempted murder, possessing a firearm while prohibited, and possession of a firearm without a valid license or registration. 

Adams will make his first court appearance on Friday morning.

Gill Ryan Perreault, 29, is still wanted by the police. He is charged with breaking and entering and attempted murder.

Additionally, police seized 1 kg of Fentanyl with a street value of about $400,000 along with $6,700 in Canadian currency.
