Jesse Paradis had the game tying and then the game winning goal for the Moose Jaw Warriors in the third period Saturday night as they beat the Brandon Wheat Kings 4-3 to wrap up their preseason schedule.

Paradis, who is more known for his toughness, said he's happy to contribute on the scoresheet.

"My goal out there is to bang bodies and get energy for the team, so if I get a couple goals, I'm happy with that," said Paradis.

Brendan Rowinski and Antonin Honejsek also scored for the Warriors, while Tomas Frazee picked up a pair of assists.

Moose Jaw was outshot 35-24 and were 1-for-5 on the powerplay and 5-for-7 on the penalty kill.

Talking after the game, assistant coach Kevin Higo said the uptempo nature of the game helps prepare for the real deal.

"It was exactly what we needed," said Higo. "A good physical game with lots of emotion to get us ready for the regular season."

The Tribe, who finished the preseason with a 4-2 record, is now gearing up as they get ready to open up the 2009-2010 regular season next Friday night in Swift Current.
