A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is in effect for the Moose Jaw, Pense, Craik, and Central Butte as issued by Environment Canada.

They are tracking a storm system that is favourable of the development of thunderstorms this evening.

Thunderstorms moving in from Alberta have the potential to become severe later today.  The main threats from these storms will be:

    - hail to the size of golf balls
    - wind gusts to 100 km/h

Thunderstorms will exit the region later this evening.

Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall.
