The Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce’s Big Give campaign has been running for about a week now and so far, it has been fairly successful.

The Chamber is about a quarter of the way to its goal. About $5,000 has been raised as of Monday, with the goal of raising $20,000.

Even though the campaign inches closer to its goal, donations are still needed.

“We have some more work to do at our end, but we're also hoping that anybody in business, any residents, or larger businesses want to help out the restaurants and help out the people that need a meal or two,” said Chamber of Commerce CEO Rob Clark.

All of the funds raised will go to purchasing meals from local restaurants to go to the Moose Jaw and District Food Bank and Hunger in Moose Jaw.

Clark gave an update on how many restaurants are on board.

“So, we have 17 down. I'm just trying to finalize one here now and then we're closing, closing the books on that and moving forward,” he said.

Donations can be made by calling the Moose Jaw Chamber of Commerce or by visiting any of the Moose Jaw Coop’s gas bar and grocery store locations.
