Some will get refunds, others will owe the government some money.  With just two weeks left until Tax Returns are due, local tax offices are very busy helping people with their paperwork.

Tax Specialist and owner of the H&R Block in Moose Jaw, Jack Gerger says it's important to know what you're allowed to write off. "Probably the main one that I was thinking of for Saskatchewan would be involving students. The provincial government has a Graduate Retention Program and it does apply to recent graduates of qualified programs."

Gerger says family benefits such as childcare and fitness are also commonly  missed. Another write-off that is often overlooked is for trades people who are required to supply their own tools on the job.
