Moose Jaw's newest Warrior, Matt Savoie, has been named the Tempo WHL Player of the Week. In his first WHL game since December 9, 2023, Savoie stunned in his Warriors debut with two goals and three assists in a 7-2 victory over the Vancouver Giants. Savoie was acquired by Moose Jaw on January 4, 2024, in a blockbuster deal that sent seven WHL draft picks to the Wenatchee Wild. Savoie has only been held off the scoresheet once this season and his 13 goals and 16 assists in 12 games, leading the WHL in points-per-game with 2.42.

The Moose Jaw Warriors wrap up a three-game homestand when they host Lethbridge tomorrow night, the Warriors are currently 24-15-0-2 this season sitting second in the East Division. The puck drop for tomorrow's game is scheduled for 7 p.m. with the pre-game show starting on Country 100 at 6:40 p.m. with the voice of the Warriors James Gallo.

Briercrest knocked off Vanier 47-30 in Jr. Girls Basketball action last night. The top scorers for Briercrest include Gladys Bsiet with 14 points, Keyana Thiessen with 11 points, and Natalie Grey who scored seven points. Briar Ward was Vanier's top scorer with 12 points, Linda Ruberwa– netted four points and Isabella Flanagan scored three points.

The NFL Wild Card round wrapped up last night. The Bill took down the Steelers 31-17 and the Buccaneers beat out the Eagles 32-9.

Two Canadian teams were in action last night in the NHL. The Blue Jackets edged out the Canucks 4-3 in overtime and the Canadiens beat the Avalanche 4-3.
