It was a tough weekend for the Moose Jaw Warriors, who lost in a shootout 5-4 in Brandon on Friday and then fell 4-3 against Saskatoon on Saturday night in the annual Teddy Bear Toss Game at the Moose Jaw Events Centre. Moose Jaw has now lost three straight. The Warriors are back in action Tuesday night when they host the Kelowna Rockets at the Moose Jaw Events Centre to begin the final week of the first half of the season. You can catch all the action on Country 100 with the pregame show starting at 6:40 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Winmar AAA Warriors split a pair of games against the Warman Wildcats at the Moose Jaw Events Centre over the weekend. The AAA Warriors were edged 4-3 in overtime on Friday, before bouncing back with a 5-2 win on Saturday. The team is back in action Thursday against Notre Dame at the Moose Jaw Events Centre.

Three Canadian teams were in action last night in the NHL. Winnipeg doubled up on Anaheim 4-2, Edmonton beat New Jersey 4-1, and Montreal fell 2-1 to Nashville.

The Central Collegiate junior boys basketball team won the Yorkton Regional Invitational over the weekend.

In National Lacrosse League action, the Saskatchewan Rush dropped their home opener 16-14 to the Rochester Knighthawks on Saturday night. The Rush's record is now 0-2 to start the season. Saskatchewan is back in action on Friday night when they head to Las Vegas to face the Desert Dogs.
