The Moose Jaw Warriors are taking a 2 games to none lead into Brandon this week for games 3 and 4 of their first round Western Hockey League playoff series after a couple of wins on home ice this weekend.

The Warriors beat the Wheat Kings 7-4 on Friday and needed overtime for a 5-4 win in game 2. The Warriors head to Brandon for Games 3 and 4 this Wednesday and Thursday.

The Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship wrapped up on Saturday, with Dash's Saskatchewan 1 Team taking gold with a win over Newfoundland and Labrador. The championship final was a nail-biter with Saskatchewan 1 needing an extra end for a 7-6 win.

The U13B Moose Jaw Crushed Can Predators are provincial hockey champions after a Saturday night win, beating Saskatoon 3-0.

In NHL action yesterday, the Vancouver Canucks beat the Anaheim Ducks 3-2.

In the NBA, Toronto Raptors fell 135-120 to the Philadelphia 76ers.

Over to Major League Baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays beat the Tampa Bay Rays 9-2, earning a split in their 4-game series to open the season. The Jays will play the Astros, in Houston tonight.
