The Moose Jaw Warriors are gearing up for a Saturday night matchup in Prince Albert against the Raiders. The Warriors are looking to get back in the win column after two straight home losses. Tomorrow night's game is the first of three on the road for Moose Jaw. Puck drop goes at 7 p.m. and you can catch all the action on Country 100 with the pregame show starting at 6:40 p.m.

At the WHL Cup in Red Deer yesterday, Team Saskatchewan edged Team Alberta 3-2 in overtime. The other game saw Team BC outscore Team Manitoba 7-2. Today's action will see Saskatchewan taking on Manitoba and Alberta facing BC.

Five Canadian teams were in action in the NHL last night with only one win. Winnipeg lost 5-3 to Vegas, Edmonton dropped a 4-1 decision in Philadelphia, Calgary got by Buffalo 4-3, Toronto lost 3-1 to Florida, and Vancouver came up short against Tampa Bay 4-3.

The playoffs get underway this weekend in high school football. In 12-aside action, Peacock travels to Weyburn tomorrow afternoon in one semi-final game, while Central hosts Yorkton at Gutheridge Field starting at 1 p.m. in the other semi-final. In 9-aside play, Vanier travels to Shaunavon this afternoon for a semi-final matchup with the Shadows at 4 p.m.

Playoffs also get underway in the Kinsmen Moose Jaw Minor Football League. In the U14 division semi-finals, the Moose Jaw Raiders travel to Weyburn, and the Moose Jaw Vikings host the Estevan Oilers. In the U12 division, it's a battle of Moose Jaw as the Spartans and Bulldogs square off. The other semi-final will see the Moose Jaw Lions hosting Swift Current.

Moose Jaw will be hosting the 4A high school soccer regional tournaments this weekend at the Yara Centre. The top two teams will advance to the provincials next weekend. Central's first game is this afternoon at 3:30 p.m. against Regina Johnson. Central lost in the league final Wednesday night to Swift Current 5-0. On the girls' side, Vanier takes on Luther tomorrow morning at 9 a.m.

Week 20 in the CFL kicks off tonight with BC hosting Calgary. The Riders are back in action tomorrow afternoon at home against Toronto starting at 2 p.m. Saskatchewan can clinch a playoff spot with a win over the Argos coupled with a loss by the Stampeders.
