Tonight is the night the Moose Jaw Warriors have been waiting for all week, as they get set for the highly anticipated matchup against the Regina Pats. They kick off a home-and-home series with the Pats on Friday, at a sold-out Brandt Centre, and then return to Moose Jaw on Saturday night to play in front of just shy of 5,000 fans. The actions get started at 7:00 on both Friday and Saturday, and if you can't make either game, Country 100 is the place to find all the action. 

The Moose Jaw Carpet One Mavericks 1 & 2 teams were in action on Thursday night at the Bert Hunt Arena in their respective finals. First, off the Mavericks #2 were able to tie their west final against the Western Praire in a 5-2 victory, game three goes this morning at the Red Knight Arena at 9:30 a.m. 

In the east final, it was the Parkland Fire that was able to take a 1-0 series lead back to Melville, after they took down the Mavericks #1 3-1 on Thursday. Leila Olfert got the lone goal for the Mavericks in the loss. Game 2 is Monday night in Melville at 7:45 p.m.

The Moose Jaw U15 A Warriors kick off their provincial championship on Sunday up in Saskatoon. They will square off against the Saskatoon Bombers at the Rod Hamm Arena at 2:15 p.m., and then will return home for games 2 & 3 next weekend. 

The Assiniboia Curling Club presents a 3-day men’s bonspiel, March 24 to 26. Gather your team of 4 and come play 3 games with a meal! The entry fee is $200 and for more info and to enter call Bill at 306-640-9655.

Cashton Seaborg and Mason Williams had another dominant performance for Team Canada at the IIJL Commonwealth Cup in Australia. Seaborg finished with seven points, while Williams had two points in a 16-8 win over the Perth Fury. Canada will play on Saturday against Team Australia. 

In the NHL on Thursday, Florida rolled to a 9-5 in over Montreal, Ottawa fell 5-4 to Colorado, Winnipeg was shutout by Boston 3-0, Edmonton beat Dallas 4-2, Vancouver lost 3-2 to Arizona, and Calgary beat up on Vegas 7-2. 

And the Toronto Blue Jays fell 7-4 to Baltimore in spring training action.
