Following Remembrance Day, Local Author John Charles Griffin had the opportunity to talk about his upcoming book "We Will Remember Them: Heroes of Burnham".

This past Saturday, at the Morse Museum, Griffin was able to host a venue where he talked about the upcoming book, his previous release, and the stories he writes.

"We Will Remember Them: Heroes of Burnham" is a story following the deeds and lives of eight men from the community of Burnham, East of Swift Current.

"[It's] a book about these eight gentlemen who gave their lives for king and for country during the First and Second World War," shared Griffin. "From enlistment all the way till the time of their death."

This work examines some of these men's histories living in Burnham, as well as chronicling their actions and services during both conflicts. It shares insight into a local history few know enough about while expanding upon their personal histories.

The actual event ran from 2:30 p.m. Saturday, beginning with a meet and greet. It ran till 4:30 p.m. when everyone was invited to enjoy a shepherd's pie supper.

Outside of detailing his latest works and their upcoming release date, Griffin also took the time to do book signings of his previous release "8th Reconnaissance Regiment (14th Canadian Hussars)".

"It was in May of 2022 that was published," detailed Griffin. "It features a little bit of the history of the regiment, as well as information on all those who received medals, honours, and awards."

The book also features memorials, listing and detailing those who gave their lives during the Second World War.

Folks eager to read Griffin's latest book can look forward to it being released sometime in the New Year. Griffin says it will be available for purchase on both Amazon and his personal website
