This year’s annual Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie Campaign in Moose Jaw was a huge success, as it raised $36,865.68 for the Heartland Hospice.

The campaign kicked off on Sept. 19, with a Smile Cookie Decorating Challenge at the Thatcher Dr. Tim Horton’s location with several of Moose Jaw’s most notorious citizens taking place.

“We were so grateful to have members from the MJPS, EMS, elementary and school staff and folks from the school board, staff from RBC and CIBC,
the Moose Jaw and District Chamber of Commerce, local MLAs Tim McLeod and Greg Lawrence, Mayor Clive Tolley and so many more,” says the Heartland Hospice in an email to Discover Moose Jaw.

The Heartland Hospice also wanted to take a moment to thank the Tim Horton’s Moose Jaw owners Don, Aurora, and Grayson Howe and their staff for their dedication and hard work throughout the campaign.

From Sept. 19 to 25 over 35,000 Smile Cookies were baked inside the Moose Jaw Events Centre kitchen for the campaign.

Also, Heartland Hospice wanted to give a big thank you to all the volunteers that made this campaign so successful by helping deliver posters and pre-order forms to businesses in the Moose Jaw community.

One hundred per cent of the money raised will stay in Moose Jaw and go towards the Heartland Hospice. The hospice was presented with the cheque at the Moose Jaw Warriors Military Appreciation Night on Oct. 20.
