**UPDATE: The severe thunderstorm watch has now ended for areas south of Moose Jaw. Conditions are no longer favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms.**

Environment and Climate Change Canada has issued a severe thunderstorm watch for areas south of Moose Jaw including Mossbank, Gravelbourg and Assiniobia. 

Environment Canada says conditions are favourable for a thunderstorm that could bring strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. 

The thunderstorm is developing along a trough of low pressure this evening before tracking northeast into the overnight hours.  

Residents are reminded that severe thunderstorms can produce lightning that kills and injures Canadian every year and tornadoes.
