After winning the girls singles division on Wednesday during the high school junior badminton league night, Cornerstone's Kenzie Behrns carried that success over to the senior night on Thursday.

Behrns edged out Peacock's Summer Okerstrom for top spot. The duo also finished 1-2 in the junior league night. Assiniboia's Maura Belles came in third this time around.

In the boys singles division, Assiniboia's Jonathan Harden took first place, while Mortlach's Micah Simrose was second and Hayden Ma came in third.

Central took the top-two spots in the mixed doubles division with Alex Yee and Dream Perez edging out Redd Perez and Maria Ahmad. Peacock's Cole Morash and Eden Gusa were third.

Assiniboia's team of McKenna Brandt and Paige MacMillian won the girls doubles division. Caitlin Miller and Serena Schlamp from Peacock placed second and Assiniboia's Lindsay Hawkins and Morgan Delorme were third.

In boys doubles, Oliver Bilodeau and Xavier Bilodeau from Ecole Ducharme finished in first place, while Cornerstone's John Ferris and Zach Beitel were second and Lun Zhang and Ju Zhang from Central placed third.

There's a busy week next week for the high school badminton athletes with two league nights for both the junior and senior divisions.
