After losing veteran defenceman Brett Mydske in the 2018 NLL Expansion Draft, the Saskatchewan Rush brought back their all-time leader in games played.

Mydske was selected by the San Diego Seals with a second round pick in the Expansion Draft last week. To get the defender back, the Rush sent four draft picks to San Diego in the trade, including the 10th and 11th overall picks and a fourth round selection in the 2018 NLL Entry Draft, as well as a second round pick in 2019.

"We are happy to have Brett back. He bleeds our colours," Rush GM and head coach Derek Keenan told SaskRush.com. "There's a lot of sentiment to this trade. Brett has been with us his entire career and we want him to retire wearing a Rush jersey."

Mydske has 32 goals and 72 points in 152 career regular season games for the Rush. He also has 517 loose ball scoops and 159 caused turnovers on the defensive side.

The Rush also lost transition Adrian Sorichetti to San Diego in the Expansion Draft.
