While ridership of the City of Moose Jaw’s transit services has declined since the COVID-19 pandemic, there are people using the “Dial A Bus” service.

Because of the decline in ridership, the city has reduced the hours from 9:55 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. and has made changes to the bus routes that can be found here.

Meanwhile, the city’s “Dial A Bus” service is well underway and they have found people are using it.

“The Dial A Bus system has been fairly steady with regular users being numbers around five or six calls a day to use,” said Mayor Fraser Tolmie. “So that’s where our numbers are at with the Dial A Bus.”

Transit was not cancelled during the pandemic as it is considered an essential service.

The Dial A Bus service run from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. depending on availability. To help with seniors and high-risk individuals, the city transit is taking bookings during the high-risk customer hours at Safeway, Co-op, Superstore and Walmart.

Dial A Bus can be booked by calling 306-694-4513. Bookings will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis.
