Each year Hunger in Moose Jaw hosts an event to celebrate recent successes, but this year will be especially sweet.

The local non-profit organization has been in operation for 25 years, helping local families and providing healthy lunches to children in Moose Jaw who may otherwise be going without.

"This year is a really special tea. We do one every year, but this one is extremely special because it is the 25th anniversary of Hunger in Moose Jaw. We're holding a tea here at the office, and we're inviting the public to come out and join us," explained Executive Director, Sharla Sept. "It's a come and go tea on Friday, November 23rd from 2-4 pm. We will be doing a cake cutting at 2:30 pm, so everyone is welcome to come down and celebrate with us."

Each year at the annual tea, Hunger in Moose Jaw staff typically unveil or present something to attendees and this year Sept said they're excited to shine the spotlight on their preschool area.

"They're more than welcome to come out and check out our preschool as it has been redone this year. That was our big renovation project that happened over the summer, and we're more than happy to show that off to people."

Sept noted that the event is just a unique way to say thanks to all the organization's supporters, donors, and volunteers who help keep their vital assistance to the community alive in Moose Jaw.
