The Assiniboia Southern Rebels beat Pilot Butte 3-2 Wednesday night, marking the first time this season they've won back to back games.

 

For the first time this season, the Assiniboia Southern Rebels have won back to back games.

The Rebels posted a 3-2 win Wednesday night in Pilot Butte in Prairie Junior Hockey League action.

Josh Humpries opened the scoring for the Rebels on a power play mid way thru the first, but the Storm was able to tie the game before heading into the intermission.

Back on the power play mid way thru the second, Cody Hall put Assiniboia up 2-1.  Three minutes later Byron Gabel would score shorthanded, lifting the Rebels to victory.

Theo Toma made 36 saves in the win.

The Rebels went 2/8 on the power play and 7/7 on the penalty kill.

The win improves Assiniboia's record to 3-6-0-1, one point back of 4th place Regina and two back of 3rd place Cypress.

Assiniboia's back on the ice Friday when Fort Knox heads to the south country.
