It was good news for roughly 1,600 residents on Tuesday night as SaskPower was able to restore their electricity. At around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, crews were able to turn the power back on to residents in some sections of Moose Jaw and several rural communities.

Residents in these areas were without power for roughly 52 hours, after 25 to 40 cm of wet heavy snow, along with heavy winds blasted the area causing power outages due to trees taking out powerlines.

SaskPower explained on Tuesday morning that at the height of the storm on Sunday, about 12,000 customers were without power.
