With Christmas in the rear-view mirror for most (Ukranian Christmas is Thursday), the official end of the holiday season is usually signified by the undecorating of the Christmas tree.

For those with real Christmas trees, the City of Moose Jaw will once again be collecting them and recycling the trees into mulch.

"We're looking at starting January 18th through January 29th for Christmas tree recycling," says Mark Sture of the City of Moose Jaw. "Put the trees out in the same place as your garbage and the city will pick them up."

Sture says the trees will be repurposed for mulch and "all kinds of stuff", and says the usual rules apply before you throw the tree out.

"We remind people to take all of the tinsel and decorations off the trees, because that tinsel doesn't go very well with the mulch."
