Moose Jaw Police responded to 38 calls for service.                                                                         

7:10 am – 2000 Block 9th Av NW – Abandoned Vehicle – A truck was stuck by a dugout.  Upon police arrival the owner was towing the vehicle out.

7:13 am – 0 Block McKenzie Lane – Break & Enter – This occurred between 2:30 AM - 3:00 AM. There was damage to doors and various areas were rummaged through.  Police are still investigating to obtain video.

7:49 am – 1500 Block 4th Av NW – Abandoned Vehicle – A vehicle was left in the driving lane.  Police towed the vehicle as abandoned.

9:09 am – Moose Jaw – Threats – Death threats were received via Facebook. This was reported for informational purposes at this time.

10:16 am – 0 Block Manitoba St E – Theft – A subject was on video stealing alcohol.  The subject is to be charged.

10:57 am – 1200 Block Willow Av – Found Property – A knife was found in an alley by a garbage can.  Police attended and seized the knife and other items in the area.

12:06 pm – 1200 Block 3rd Av NE – Vehicle Seizure – A vehicle was seized by police and is to be processed by Ident.

12:25 pm – 500 Block Laurier St – Hit & Run – This occurred sometime in February. There was approximately $2000 of damage to the front bumper and back quarter panel of the vehicle.

1:44 pm – 1000 Block Monk Av – Hit & Run – This occurred March 5. There was approximately $2500 of damage to the back bumper and driver side mirror.

2:24 pm – 700 Block MacDonald St – MVA – There was a two vehicle collision causing approximately $3000 of damage.  It was reported to police after a name exchange was completed as one vehicle required a tow.

2:28 pm – 1800 Block Stadacona St W – MVA – This occurred in Calgary on March 12. A statement and pictures were taken to forward to the Calgary Police.

2:34 pm – 1200 Block Irving Av – Well Being Check – The subject was located at home in good health.

3:19 pm – 0 Block Kalmia Cr – Insecurity – A community mail box was left unlocked, and the individual was unable to reach Canada Post.  Police contacted Canada Post, who sent an employee to deal with the issue.

3:29 pm – 800 Block Hochelaga St E – Mischief – Two tires were slashed on a vehicle. The complainant has a suspect.  Police are still investigating in order to obtain a statement.

4:14 pm – 1100 Block Grafton Av – Break & Enter – A subject kicked in the door and called a resident names.  The subject was unknown to the resident.  The subject was located and charged for Break & Enter, before being released for court at a later date.

4:38 pm – 500 Block Thatcher Dr E – Hit & Run – This occurred on March 7. There was damage to the passenger side bumper and tire.  Police are to view the damage and fill out appropriate paperwork.

4:39 pm – 1100 Block Alder Av – Hit & Run – This occurred in the last 48 hours. There was approximately $2000 of damage and an orange paint transfer.

4:40 pm – 1100 Block Alder Av – Mischief – Tires were slashed on a vehicle two weeks ago.  This was reported for informational purposes.

4:53 pm – 100 Block Ross St E – Mischief – This occurred on March 12. A subject jumped on the hood of a vehicle, causing approximately $1800 of damage.  Police are still investigating to speak with the suspect.

6:50 pm – 1200 Block Henleaze Av – Lost Property – A black leather tri-fold wallet was lost, containing various forms of ID.  This was reported for informational purposes.

11:29 pm – 500 Block Thatcher Dr E – Hit & Run – This occurred at approximately 11:00 pm. An unknown vehicle struck a semi, causing approximately $1000 of damage.

12:14 am – 700 Block Athabasca St W – Drugs Possess – Police attended to a residence for a break & enter in progress.  The subject was located in the back yard of a residence and was taken in to custody.  A statement was taken from the resident.  The subject was detained in cells and is to be charged with causing a disturbance and possession of cocaine.  The subject will be released to appear in court at a later date.
