Moose Jaw Police responded to 46 calls for service.

7:00 am – 0 block Diefenbaker Dr – Transportation Fraud – A subject took a cab ride and then did not have funds to pay for the fare.  The individual was charged with transportation by fraud and breach of recognizance.

7:35 am – 400 block Main St S – Unwanted Guest –A subject was refusing to return home from the complainant’s residence.  The individual decided to go home on police arrival.

8:45 am – 200 block Caribou St W – Fraud – Numerous fraudulent cheques showed that they were deposited into an account, with a loss of over $500.  Police are still investigating.

9:27 am – 800 block 4th Av NW – Suspicious Person – A complainant was concerned about a subject sitting outside in a chair for over an hour.  The person was arrested on outstanding warrants, released with a later court date, and sent on their way.

10:36 am - 100 block Ominica St W – Fail to Attend Court – One person was charged with failing to attend court.  A warrant was issued.

11:45 am – 900 block Caribou St W – Landlord/Tenant Issue – Tenants caused extensive damage during their six years living in a rental property. The landlord was referred to the Rentalsman to pursue options regarding recovering costs for damages.

11:48 am – 100 block Main St N – Fraud – There was a report that a complainant was given a cheque to cash and determined the cheque was stolen.  Police are still investigating.

12:49 pm – 0 block Fairford St W – Fail to Appear – Two warrants were issued for individuals who failed to attend to the police station for fingerprinting.

1:42 pm – 1200 block Irving Ave – Attempted Theft – About $100 damage was done to a steering column during an attempted theft of a vehicle.  Police are still investigating.

2:38 pm – 200 block Main St N – Erratic Driver – Police are still investigating to speak with the owner of the offending vehicle.

3:02 pm – 600 block North Service Rd – Theft – Tarps were stolen from two semi trailers.  Police are still investigating.

3:47 pm – 4th Ave NW at MacDonald St – Collision – There was a two-vehicle collision resulting in one minor injury and approximately $20,000 of damage.  One ticket was issued for disobey a stop sign.

4:48 pm – 200 block 5th Ave NW – Mischief – A vehicle was keyed, causing approximately $3500 of damage.

6:06 pm – 1st Ave NW at Caribou St W – Collision – There was a two-vehicle collision causing $35,000 of damage.  Both vehicles were towed, there were no injuries, and one ticket was issued for failing to yield when making a left hand turn.

6:52 pm – Main St S at Home St W – Collision – A vehicle lost control and collided with a tree, causing one minor injury and approximately $10,000 of damage.

7:27 pm – 21 Fairford St W – Mischief – A person provided a false statement to police and was charged with public mischief before being released for a later court date.

8:03 pm – 900 block Thatcher Dr E – Mischief – A suspect dumped a tray of used fast food containers onto another customer’s table.  The individual was charged with mischief and breach of recognizance.

8:48 pm – 1000 block Main St N – Mischief – A subject was charged with mischief for causing damage to a door.  The individual was released on conditions of no-contact with the resident and for a later court date.

11:39 pm – 1100 block Athabasca St E – Curfew Breach – A subject was charged with breach of probation for being out past a court-ordered curfew.

12:18 am – Caribou St E and 1 Hwy E – Collision – A driver swerved to miss two deer, lost control and slid into the ditch.  The damage is estimated at $10,000.  A passenger received minor injuries.

2:06 am – 0 block Wood Lily Dr – Noise Complaint – The resident was warned under the noise bylaw.

Police executed one warrant.
Police assisted other agencies in three cases.
Police responded to one alarm call.
Police responded to three 911 calls.
