Moose Jaw Police responded to 25 calls for service.

8:56 am – Assist EMS – Police assisted EMS with a patient. The subject was taken to the hospital by EMS, and no further police action was required.

9:19 am – Theft – There was a theft of scrap metal from a business’s yard, with the loss estimated at $4. They discussed options for securing the yard.

10:16 am – Noise Bylaw – A complainant stated that people from a few doors down have been partying all night and were now out on the deck yelling and screaming. A subject was arrested for being drunk in public.

11:13 am – Theft of Auto – Car keys were stolen out of a coat pocket from the back of a church and a vehicle was stolen. During a routine patrol, the vehicle was later recovered and two youth have been arrested. The subjects have been held in cells for court in the morning. 

11:39 am – Police assisted hospital staff with a patient.

11:50 am – Mischief – Damage was done to a doorknob. No entry was gained to the residence, and this was reported for information purposes.

1:55 pm – Alarms were going off in a business that was closed for the weekend. It was confirmed that there was no entry to the business. The keyholder was contacted to shut off the alarm.

3:22 pm – Police assisted EMS with a patient.

4:26 pm – Hit and Run – A hit and run to a vehicle occurred on October 12. The damage was estimated at $3,000, and SGI forms were filled out.

6:54 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties over property, and the civil dispute was mediated. They were advised to seek legal advice.

7:12 pm – An alarm was going off in a building that was closed for the day. The building was checked, all was secure, and the alarms were shut off.

9:03 pm – Dispute – There was a dispute between two parties over property. One subject left prior to police arrival. The complainant wanted police to advise the subject to stay away.

12:20 am – Dispute – There was a dispute over property. It was a civil dispute, and the subject was advised to contact a lawyer and the Rentalsman.

2:11 am – A vehicle failed to stop for police; charges are pending.

5:10 am – Vehicle Entry – A complainant called in stating someone was in a vehicle and was able to provide a suspect name. A subject was located in the area and was found to be in possession of break in tools. The subject is to be released for a later court date with several conditions.

5:11 am – Mischief – Sometime overnight a window was smashed on a vehicle. Pictures were taken of the damage, which is estimated at $300. This is still under investigation.
