The Moose Jaw Peewee AA Warriors suffered a tough loss on Monday night as they dropped a 7-1 game to the Estevan Bruins.

The loss puts Moose Jaw's record at 5-14-3 this season in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

After Estevan opened up a 3-0 lead after the first period, Bryce Boughen scored a power-play goal for the Warriors 4:32 into the second period to cut the lead down to two, but that was as close as Moose Jaw would get.

The Bruins added three goals to their total after that in the second period and then tacked on another in the third period.

Kade Phillips had two goals and three points in the win for the Bruins.

Casson Silbernagel took the loss in goal for the Warriors, while Moose Jaw went 1-for-5 on the power play.

The Warriors will return to the ice for two games this weekend. They have a rematch with the Bruins on Saturday in Estevan and then they host the Melville Millionaires on Sunday at Mosaic Place, puck drops at 12:30 p.m.
